Re: China Normal University reads an average of one book everyday.
notes on Zhou Yizhang's reading
a surge of news: many people complain that the books that have been read are soon forgotten. What aspects of the reading process do you think can improve this situation? For example, do book notes.
Zhou Yizhang: This is also a problem that plagued me, because my memory is poor, and many books are forgotten soon. Personally, I think the most effective way is: first, read regularly and read out the main points of this book in mind. Second, seize all opportunities, such as gossip, reading club, class, etc., to share your evaluation of this book with classmates and teachers. Third, in the writing of a thesis or in peacetime, consciously connect, apply and criticize the viewpoints in these books with critical eyes. In short, it is review, application and reflection.
surging news: do you like reading books through paper media or electronic media? What does it give you a different experience?
Zhou Yizhang: I like paper, because the electronic media is too damaging, whether it is computer or cell phone. From the point of view of the eye, Kindle is good, and many of my classmates have bought Kindle, but I haven't bought it, because I don't think it's easy to turn the page. In addition, I can't use the page number on Kindle when it is quoted as a paper.
