my cancer diary is a cartoon drawn by Zhu Yongshan in the process of treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The caricature is a black and white pencil, with 33 pieces altogether. Each picture was accompanied by a short text summarizing the whole process of her illness, healing and recovery.
Zhu Yongshan, a graduate of the art design department of Zhongshan Polytechnic, is a graduate of the Department of art and design at the Zhongshan Polytechnic. In the second half of 2015, there was pain in all parts of her body. One day in September, she suddenly bleed her nose. After being examined by a hospital, she was diagnosed as nasopharyngeal carcinoma. After
accepted facts, Zhu Yongshan began to cooperate with doctors. The next days are repeated chemotherapy, and the pain caused by side effects. To ease internal pain and enhance confidence in fighting disease, Zhu Yongshan took up his brush and recorded his treatment process in comic form after the first radiotherapy.
"I want to record my story. I hope my cancer diary will finish, and I will get better." After that, she will paint when she is in good condition. Slowly, these paintings gave her the impetus to live. "When I was helpless and empty, painting allowed me to find a sustenance. When I looked back, I could see it all with a smile." She said.
32 after beating the disease
Zhu Yongshan named the comic book "my cancer diary". This work is black and white pencil drawing, similar to the "secret garden". In black and white, people can not only see the process of treatment intuitively, but also feel the emotional changes outside the pain, pain, hesitation, struggle, and optimism and effort.
"for 3 days, you can't sleep with your eyes closed. You can only force yourself to calm your emotions and fantasize about all kinds of beautiful things." She wrote in her diary.

now, she is at home, sleeping and getting up early every day. The only thing is painting. She often shares her works with friends, and occasionally works with some game companies to create works. She also wants to become an illustrator, sharing her experiences in painting and conveying the true, the good and the beautiful.
