"if you can save a life, save a family, why not?" Yesterday morning, Su Yongfu, 20 years old, completed a donation of hematopoietic stem cells in his life. He was very happy to help others. After the donation, he became the first case of hematopoietic stem cell donors in Shandong Province, thirty-seventh in Ji'nan and 500th in the Turkish population.
Su Yongfu, born in 1996, came from a common rural family in Nanjia village, Weiyuan Town, Haidong County, Haidong City, Qinghai province. It is a Turkish family. Now it is a student of the junior college of medicine of Shandong University and won a number of scholarships. In an activity organized by the school in 2014, he participated in blood collection and became a volunteer in the Chinese bone marrow bank. In May 2016, he received a call from the Red Cross of Ji'nan. He was told that hematopoietic stem cells were successful. "I was particularly excited because I could save a person's life." After receiving his parents' consent, he went to the people's Hospital of Ji'nan to take a blood sample again, received a high resolution test with the patient for blood samples, and signed the "informed consent form for high resolution detection". After waiting patiently for more than two months, the news of September finally came to the conclusion that a high fitness match could lead to a physical examination. In October, accompanied by the staff of the Red Cross in Ji'nan, a health examination was carried out at the fourth hospital in Ji'nan. The final result of the physical examination showed that he was in good health and could be donated. Since then, he has made various preparations for donation. In order to provide healthier hematopoietic stem cells for the patient, he insisted on exercising every day, planning daily, adjusting his state actively, supplemented nutrition and preventing cold.
in the course of the collection yesterday, Su Yongfu was shocked to learn that the corresponding patient was a child of only 5 years old. "This little child is sick. It must be very anxious at home. I can save him. I hope he can get better and grow up."
