according to the Ministry of health of Shandong province yesterday, just the past week (April 26th to May 2nd), the province reported the number of 4129 people with hand foot and mouth disease, of which 91 were severe cases, and 1 died. Among them, 572 new cases of HFMD in Ji'nan last week, 1 cases of severe cases, 1 cases of deaths, which is the first case of HFMD death in our province this year.
according to statistics, from January 1st to May 2nd, the province reported 16887 cases of hand foot mouth disease, including 325 severe cases and 1 dead cases. A total of 2002 people reported hand foot mouth disease in Ji'nan, including 2 severe cases and 1 dead cases.
Cheng Hongqi, chief physician of infectious disease and endemic disease control center of City Center for Disease Control and prevention, said that from 5 to July, HFMD was in high incidence.
