to Li Ming, director of Archaeological Institute of Ji'nan for years of archaeology, the archaeological excavation of the ancient tomb of Wei Jia Zhuang, which was carried out in 2009 and 2010, surprised him: the archaeological excavation found the 168 in the Han and Tang Dynasties. To the tomb of the song and Yuan Dynasties, there are 122 tombs in the Han Dynasty. In the 122 tombs of Han Dynasty, more than 600 pieces of cultural relics, including silverware, iron ware, bronze ware, pottery, stone implements, jade articles, and so on, were unearthed.
the rich excavation results made the Wei Jia Zhuang archaeology create many "the most": Ji'nan area once found the largest burial in the Western Han Dynasty, the largest number of kilns found in the central region of Ji'nan, the largest number of unearthed cultural relics in the city of Ji'nan, and the number of iron tripod in the Han Dynasty.
now, the archaeological site of the year has long been a fashionable Wanda Plaza, and the endless stream of people is shopping and shopping here. Every time I go to Wanda Plaza, Li Ming will be in a different mood. The research on the archaeological achievements of Wei Jia Zhuang is still continuing, but it is of great significance to the study of the history of urban construction and iron smelting in Ji'nan in the Han Dynasty, especially the significance of filling the blanks in the Ji'nan city of the Han Dynasty before the "West migration of the city of Ping Ling".
"the village in the city" protected hundreds of ancient tombs,
to make Li Ming happy, and the "foresight" of the important ancient tombs buried in the Wei Jia Zhuang district. "The tomb of the Han and Tang Dynasties, such as the tombs of the Han Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty, was unearthed around the Wei Jia Zhuang area, such as the tombs of the Han Dynasty and the vicinity of the Liberation Bridge. Also unearthed the tomb of the Han Dynasty. According to many years of archaeological experience and data collection, I think Wei Jia Zhuang underground should have a rich cultural remains, so it was classified into the first batch of the first six major cultural relics protection areas in Ji'nan. The specific scope of this area is east to shun he street, South to four, West to latitude two, and north to two. Ten years later, the archaeological excavation verified our judgement.
another surprise is that the tomb of the Wei Jia Zhuang's tomb has not been stolen or destroyed. In the case of the high proportion of the burglaries in the Chinese tombs, the more than 100 unpiloted tombs are completely ready for surprise. Li Ming believes that, objectively, it is due to the existence of Wei Jia Zhuang, a "village in the city". The villagers had built low houses, and since then there were no tall buildings. Wei Jia Zhuang, in the center of the city, has objectively protected the deep buried ancient tombs.
nearly one hundred pieces of iron witness in the Han Dynasty Ji'nan iron level
the Archaeological Research Institute of Ji'nan City, the Archaeological Research Institute of Wei Jia Zhuang, Guo Junfeng told reporters that the excavation of the unearthed nearly 100 pieces of iron, so that all people are very surprised. Of particular importance are 11 iron tripod, 3 iron kettle, 1 iron bucket and 1 iron stoves. These iron containers were excavated in different tombs, most of which were buried 1 tombs. The burial iron containers in tombs are rare in Han Dynasty Tombs in Shandong area. The diameter, diameter and height of the iron tripod are 22 centimeters, 30 centimeters, and 30 centimeters, respectively. The chimney of the iron stove even has two turns, which is amazing. Li Ming told reporters, do not look down on these iron tools, in the Han Dynasty, such iron belongs to high-grade products, not ordinary people can use, more than ordinary people can enjoy such a funeral products. Taking the iron sword as an example, the unearthed iron sword sword is 1.15 meters long, which is longer than the common sword now. According to the shape of the sword, it can be preliminarily identified as the local production in Ji'nan. If the iron and other alloy content of the sword are studied by means of science and technology, it is of great reference value for the study of the history of smelting in the Ji'nan area of the Han Dynasty, "again the iron tripod" And the iron kettle, they are all the life utensils of the Han Dynasty. Among them, the iron tripod has two ears and three feet, and the shape is very good. Although the rust is serious now, it is not an official at the time, not an official, or at least a big family, so it is of great value to the study of social life and funeral customs at that time. A large number of iron tools provide new and important information for the study of the history of iron smelting in Ji'nan. It shows that the iron smelting industry in Ji'nan occupies a very important position in the Han Dynasty. Guo Junfeng told reporters that the archaeological excavation has also unearthed nearly 200 beautifully made bronzes. A large number of copper mirrors, bronze mirrors, copper hairpins, copper earrings, copper belt hooks, copper paving heads, copper spoons and many copper ornaments are breathtaking, especially copper containers, copper pots, copper cups, copper plates, copper plates and copper Boshan furnaces. The middle and small tombs of the late Western Han Dynasty in Shandong are very rare. Among them, 1 bronze tripod with an iron cover, in addition to Changqing double Rushan 1 Han tombs have found 1 pieces, very rare.
in addition, the 4 gods, 7 simple and practical stone inkstone, more than 300 pottery, a large number of five baht, and the unearthed of jade and mud balls, have provided rich information for the study of the history of Ji'nan.
a bronze seal brought a surprise
in the archaeological excavation of Wei Jia Zhuang, there was a bronze stamp that aroused Li Ming's great interest. The top of the bronze seal was a bridge shaped button, with a total of 4 words. The latter two words were "printed", and the first two words had not been read out. Li Ming said that such a Han Dynasty bronze seal was unearthed in Ji'nan, and it was the first time that it was unearthed in the central area of Ji'nan. The first two ambiguous words may be a person's name, or a name, but in any case, it is very precious, because it can tell us who is the owner of the tomb, and its identity and status. This kind of cultural relics with words is the most direct and valuable evidence for ancient tombs. The discovery of the copper seal indicates that the owner of the tomb may be a local chief executive or a rich and powerful person. It also illustrates the development level of Ji'nan's economy at that time.
in this archaeological excavation, a total of 9 seals were excavated. The 9 seals came from 9 tombs and 1 tombs were excavated. 8 of them are copper seals and 1 are stone seals. Of the 8 bronze seals, 5 were "but" surnames, 2 were "Cao" surnames, and 1 were auspicious words "Jun Yi Guan".
it is interesting that the excavations also unearthed 4 pieces of bronze statues, which were used by the ancient people to press the curtain or the corner.
City archaeological anticipation of multiple "cooperation"
say, from the situation of excavation, we can basically determine the size of the ancient tomb group in the Wei Jia Zhuang area, which should belong to a large graveyard with higher status at that time, and the identity of the owner of the tomb is related to the surrounding towns.
Guo Junfeng said that from the perspective of shape and artifacts, the period of Wei Jia Zhuang Han Tombs should be in the middle and late Han Dynasty, and may continue to the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Documented here is the seat of Licheng County under the jurisdiction of Ji'nan prefecture (county). The Wei Jia Zhuang cemetery is about 3 kilometers from the ancient city of Ji'nan. The tombs of such a large number of Han Dynasty aristocracy found at one time have undoubtedly provided important material for relocating the status and role of the ancient city of Ji'nan in the Han Dynasty.
Li Ming thought that the archaeological excavation of the Wei Jia Zhuang was carried out smoothly, with the respect for the relevant cultural relics and the coordination of the archaeological work. "The city archeology and the field archaeology are different, the city archeology is often to cooperate with the construction project. If the archaeological excavation is not carried out before the construction is not carried out, the archaeological excavation is not excavated." Underground information about urban history may be permanently destroyed. Different from the active cooperation with Wanda Square, the site of Shun Jing Street has not been excavated for various reasons. Although some cultural relics are unearthed in the construction process, the historical information buried in the underground can not be completely presented, which causes irreparable loss to the study of the history of the city.
