according to the document, in April 5, 1931, the warlord Han Fu Fang killed 22 important party cadres, Deng Enming and Liu Qianchu (the Secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China) in the eight road Court (now Huaiyin Square), and the history called "four. Five". In August 1986, the Huaiyin District Committee and the district government decided to build a monument at the martyrs' Memorial office. In April 1989, the "four. Five" Martyrs Monument designed by Chou Zhihai, a famous sculptor, was completed. As a base of moral education practice and the base of youth patriotism education, the relevant departments organized young people to remember the martyrs after April 5th.
last year, the monument was temporarily moved out in response to the transformation of Huaiyin Plaza civil air defense project. This year, all the civil air defense projects were completed, and the Group Committee of the Huaiyin District, the Party History Office of the district and the District Garden Bureau were actively cooperating, relocated the monument, and carried out the treatment of the monument, such as the elevation, cleanliness and gold of the monument. The monument is located in the northeast corner of Huaiyin square, surrounded by white marble balustrade, 5 meters high, composed of 3 rectangular marbles, inlaid with martyrs, and engraved with the life of 22 martyrs and the leaders' inscriptions.
