Re: Qilu earth seeking Buddha

two great temples hidden around Ji'nan in the surrounding area rarely leave us clues of early Buddhist temples. Even a few remnants of brick and tile columns provide visible objects for future generations. The Shentong temple at the foot of the Qinglong mountain and the Ling Yan temple in the northern foot of Taishan is the main destination of Qilu land's second day of Buddhism. There are too many similar destinies in these two temples. They are all in the middle of the mountain depression. They are all built in the East Jin Dynasty. They both have been very brilliant, and all of them have gone through the hardships. Now we have left a rich cultural heritage.

from the Ji'nan city to Shen Tong, there is a direct bus line, but the journey is quite hard. It took more than two hours to walk to the doorway of the temple of the temple. I was dizzy and staggered down the car. I did not make a good God, but I was sprayed with the car tail gas. Looking far into the direction of Shentong temple, I saw a group of gleaming Tang Dynasty buildings. I was surprised. I thought I would not build a new building on the site. This is the Shentong Temple Ruins Museum built before the Shentong Temple site in 1999. There are few visitors to see the historical evolution of the temple and the unearthed relics in the form of the exhibition. Most of the restored buildings are still used as places of worship. There are Buddha statues in the interior furnishings, and outdoor incense burner for men and women. I hurried away from here, guided by the tour guide to the four door tower on the east side.
Shentong temple was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, formerly known as langgong temple. It is the first Buddhist temple in Shandong. The founder of the Buddhist temple is called langgong, a high priest of the Buddhist monk of the western region. Lang Gong was praised by Former Qin Jian Jian and Murong De of Nan Yan, and even became the national teacher of Nan Yan. Lang Gong, which was supported by the monarch, made langgong temple a Buddhist Center in the Shandong area at that time. The scale of the monastery was grand, and the records of "Lang Kun Kun Rui, the big hall, the tower of the building" were recorded. The site of the Shentong temple is very particular. The eastern side is Qinglong mountain, and the western side is the white tiger mountain. The temple is located in the middle of the two hills.
