1912, Sun Zhongshan visited Ji'nan and made a very high evaluation of Ji'nan's move from the commercial port. In 1925, Mr. Sun Zhongshan died and the people of Ji'nan held a memorial meeting at the commercial port park. After the memorial meeting ended, in order to remember Mr. Sun Zhongshan's great achievements, he decided to rename the "commercial port Park" as "Zhongshan Park". According to the author's understanding, there are nearly 40 Zhongshan Park in all parts of the country, and Ji'nan's Zhongshan Park is the oldest.
