Shandong University medical school is one of the earliest medical colleges and universities in China. It is the main part of the former Shandong Medical University. Its long history can be traced back to the cultural hall of Dengzhou in 1864. In 1911, the grand lecture hall of the Republican medical school was formally completed in Ji'nan. It has become the source of the history of the medical school of Shandong University today. In 1952, Shandong medical college was founded by merging Medical School of Qilu University, Shandong Provincial Medical College and East China Bethune medical college.
