east stream street is located in the five Longtan Park by the riverside of the protection city. In ancient times, the streams were interlaced, and they were to go by boats, so they were called "ship alley". Qicheng carries: "West Shiqiao north, under the city......" " In the past, there were ancient hot springs, moon buds, North washing pot springs, wash springs, still water springs, Hui spring, Xian Qing spring, bright pool and so on. Some spring water converged to the East like West moat. For years, the streets are named Dong River Street. The area of east stream water street was Daming Lake in ancient times, and later the lake was obliterated. People built their gardens here. Langyuan and Yi Yuan were famous private gardens at that time. During the Qingdao light year, some people built small Ejiao workshop to produce donkey hide gelatin. In the period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a "Qu Xing hall glue shop". In Guangxu period, the "Yan Shou Tang Jiao shop" was set up, "Tongxing Tang Jiao shop", "Guang Cheng Tang Dian", the "Hong Ji Tang shop" was set up in the Qing Xuan Tong, Qing Guangxu thirty-two years (1906), in which the Ji'nan electric light company was established.
